Pedro Figueiredo, the 15-year-old golfer representing the Golf Club of Quinta do Peru continues with his excellent results in the principal and most prestigious international tournaments. Recently, he finished with an outstanding 4th position in the International Amateur Tournament of Switzerland, played at the Golf Club of Lausanne, barely 3 strikes behind the winner. A few days later, in the Top Five played in Czechoslovakia, he finished 5th recovering from a difficult start.

The invitations to compete in the European teams of the Junior Ryder Cup et the Jacques Léglise Trophy constitute two important stepping stones in this young golfer’s career who will represent Portugal in the two events. Pedro Figueiredo’s season up to date was excellent and thanks to the good results obtained at the different levels in European golf tournaments, he was selected to be amongst the eight golfers in the below-18-year range of the Continental European team which will challenge the team of Great Britain and Ireland on the occasion of the Jacques Léglise Trophy.
